General

What services do you perform?

We perform almost any structural repairs and waterproofing services on residential and small business foundations. We repair cracks, leaks, settlement, pushed walls, and street creep damage. We also install sump pumps and interior draintile systems. For slabs that have settled or have a void beneath them, we provide polyjacking for concrete slabs that have settled or have a void beneath them.  At this time, we do not perform work on crawl spaces.

How long have you been in business?

Acculift has been in business for over 35 years.

Are you fully insured?

Yes, we have full general and worker’s compensation insurance so our clients can rest easy knowing that if an accident should occur, we are adequately covered.

Estimates

How do I schedule an estimate?

Please call our office at 636-561-2633 and our office manager will schedule you for your estimate.

Do estimates cost anything?

Normally, estimates are given at no charge. However, if we need to dispatch a technician to check a sump pump or provide a similar service, a nominal service charge may apply. Also, please note that any estimates performed in conjunction with a real estate transaction will cost between $50-125.

Who will arrive at my property for the estimate?

Typically, all estimates are provided by our structural engineer. Occasionally, a technician or our project manager may be at the estimate.

How long do estimate appointments take to complete?

A simple crack could take only 5-10 minutes while customers with more extensive problems could take up to 1-2 hours.

What happens at my estimate appointment?

We will let you show us where the problem/concern is located. Based on what we see, we may look at other areas and ask questions about the history of the foundation.

I can’t be there for the estimate – can I have someone else meet you there?

It is best if the homeowner is available for the estimate so that we can ask questions that only the homeowner may know. We also discuss ballpark pricing of repair options as well as technical explanations of problems and associated repairs. So, it is highly recommended that the homeowner is at the estimate.

How long does it take to get my estimate after my appointment?

2-4 business days for simple repairs. Up to 2-4 weeks for complicated repairs. These timelines may increase significantly during high-demand times.

I received my estimate and want to move forward with the work – what do I do?

If possible, please use the e-signature function on your emailed contract. Alternatively, you can sign the paper contract and then email a copy of the contract to us at acculift@centurytel.net

Do you require a down payment?

Normally we do not and no payment is expected before the job is substantially complete. There are some exceptions to this including 1) if special materials need to be ordered, 2) it is a last-minute emergency repair, or 3) your job is located more than 20 miles away.

Performing Work

How long will my job take?

It depends on what the repair is. A simple crack may only take 1-2 hours. Piering an entire house may take almost a month.

How soon will the work take place?

It depends on our backlog. Acculift has an excellent reputation so we are consistently backlogged. For smaller jobs, we usually book about 4-8 weeks ahead.  For larger jobs, it maybe 4-8 months. We try to leave room in our schedule for emergencies, so please ask.

What do I need to do to prepare for my work to be completed?

Your contract/estimate should cover some of the preparation that is required for each individual job. For larger projects, our project manager will be in touch to cover all of the details.

Do you subcontract any of your work to another individual or company?

In order to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, Acculift does not utilize subcontractors except for concrete flatwork (including driveway buffers).

Do you warranty your work?

The majority of our work is warranted, but each project is unique. Please read the contract/estimate thoroughly and make sure you understand what is warrantied and for how long.

Payments, Etc.

When is payment due?

Full payment is due at the time that your project is substantially complete.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash, check or VISA/MASTERCARD are accepted.

Do you offer financing for larger projects?

Not at this time, but we are working on setting this up in the near future. So please inquire if you are interested in financing.

What happens if I can’t pay my bill by the due date?

The best thing to do is to call the office and discuss the situation with us. We can probably set up a short-term payment plan. If significant time has passed, we may exercise options such as late fees, a lien on your home, or loss of warranty. We try hard to avoid those options, so please communicate with us as a first step.

Do you assess late fees?

According to our contract, we can assess late fees if the invoice is over 30 days old. These late fees can possibly be waived if payment is sent in ASAP.
